Before the Photoshoot

If you have a particular style, image or moment in mind, it’s important to let me know beforehand. The more insight I have, the better chance we have of creating the photographs you are hoping for.

If you are unsure what you would like, that is absolutely fine too. I am always happy to gently direct where needed or simply stay discreetly in the background and capture natural moments as they unfold. Quite often, these unplanned moments become some of the most beautiful and authentic of images.

During the Photoshoot

My aim is to make every session relaxed and enjoyable. I will always listen to what you would like from the shoot and offer guidance or assistance whenever needed.

There will always be a few things outside our control, such as lighting, weather, or whether your horse or dog feels like cooperating on the day. However, I will always do everything I can to create images you will love. Poor weather can often make for wonderfully atmospheric photographs, and I also have a few sneaky little tricks up my sleeve to encourage pricked ears and alert expressions when needed.

Only in extreme weather conditions would I ask to rearrange the session, free of charge. Your animal’s welfare (and my camera!) will always take priority.

After the Photoshoot

I aim to send one sneak-peek image within 24 hours. The remaining images will then be carefully edited and sent over within one week.
